A question that is often brought up with metaphysical healing is, "Is it appropriate to charge and how does charging affect the healing?" When we pay or barter for a good/service, we assign it value. We are agreeing that the good/service is valuable to us, so we take it seriously. Receiving payment or a trade also shows respect for the healer's time and training. If you always offer your time for free, then people will agree with you that your time has no value & will take advantage of it. The actual affect on the healing is more dependent on the openness of the person receiving the healing than on the price paid. Reiki is subtle, & will work as much as the person is willing to heal. Charging more or less isn't important; what is important is the respect & acceptance the person receiving the healing puts into the healing. It's the same as in western medicine. A patient can take medicine but the affect of the medicine will be greatly hindered if the person is convinced it won't work. Read more at www.McbrideAcademy.org/Should-I-Charge.html
